About Mapes LLC
Mapes LLC and Mapes Consulting was based on a premise that Account Receivables Management (ARM) businesses should do what they know best. For some ARM companies (Collection Agencies) their forte is the ability to sell to creditors. For others it was the top notch staff that they could develop. Very few agencies come from a position that they are technologically superior. Even fewer agencies truly keep up with the changing technology, though many think they do. This results in lost profits and lack of automation, ultimately making the company less competitive.
Jeremy Mapes has worked in the credit and collection industry since 1994 and most of the Mapes LLC staff and contractors have worked more than twenty years on average. Jeremy shook up his first agency in Wichita, KS working for Universal Credit Services that was owned by the local St. Francis hospital system while he was also attending college for his degree in Management Information Systems (MIS). Previously he had been to aircraft school for A&P mechanics, but decided he wanted to look for a job with larger opportunities than the aircraft industry could provide and with less layoffs. Jeremy went on to become Vice President of Operations of Omni Credit Services, Project Leader for Moutain States, Director of IT (and partner) for Alliance Collection Agencies, and Senior Manager of Technology Business for Ocwen Credit Services, a division of Ocwen Loan Servicing, LLC.
Jeremy had assisted several colleagues and business owners on several occasions with questions to their business. They would always remark that they had "wished we could afford you" as far as hiring Mr. Mapes. It became obvious there was a need by many agencies for the high level of technology, ARM experience, and operational skills that Mapes could offer them but they were not necessarily large enough to afford a full time CIO or expert. Jeremy then left Ocwen to start a consulting firm that could bring experts to clients where they could buy a "portion" of the expert's time without having to constantly carry the full price of having him on staff. Jeremy went on to expand the staff and bring other experts on board that could help solve almost any problem that could be presented by a potential client on the operational, technical, or security side of business. Staff brought on are industry experts with special talents and have been everything, from technical support to CIO's to operational management. One former Mapes VP is now the general manager over a twenty-six million dollar annual revenue ARM company.
There are dozens of debt collection software companies running around out there. We don't need to make another software. We "DO" need to help our customers better utilize what they have and build around the shortcomings found in every debt collection software and businesses. We do this by analyzing and creating solutions to their daily issues and future needs.
